Did you know that you can launch a startup in just 7 days WITHOUT losing your full-time job? I always thought that it takes at least a few months to launch a startup, as you need a good product, marketing plan, budget, validation and first clients. But what if you idea is sh*t??? You'll waste months on something useless.. That's why I decided to challenge myself and try to launch a startup from idea to first $ in just 7 days without sacrificing my full-time job, personal life and health. But it didn't go as expected... You can watch what happened in the new YouTube video: Why did I disappear for 5 months??Hey, Reader! If you've been following my journey, you probably know that I was quite consistent with my content and this newsletter. But for the last 5 months, I was mainly silent on social media, and let me explain what happened. Firstly, I decided to fully change the direction of my business and content. I'm not focusing on my IT-related content anymore. The main reason for that is that I just simply grown and changed my interests over the last few years. I still love coding & building. But talking about JavaScript doesn't drive me as it did before. I liked programming because it's an insanely challenging thing to do, and the feeling that I was getting after solving a complex bug was better than any drug. But it's not as challenging for me as it used to be.. And I don't want to create content, courses or products just for money. I want to do things that light fire in my eyes. But I was lucky enough to find another thing that challenges me even harder than programming. And this thing is building businesses. It's an insanely hard thing to do, but:
Does it mean that you leave coding?NO! I'm still working full-time as a developer, and it's my main source of income. But all my free time goes into 2 things now:
And you know what? For the last 6 months of creating IT-related content, I was forcing myself to create it. But now, when I made this switch, I finally feel that I want to create content again, because I can talk about things that I WANT TO TALK ABOUT, and not follow the niche that I selected before. Unfortunately, I'll lose some of my audience, because if you are interested in IT, it doesn't mean that you'll be interested in online startups & content creation. But it's okay; we all change and grow. And I want to be myself in my content, and not just a talking head who tries to sell you something. If you are still reading this, and you are still with me, thank you, it means everything to me! Happy to be back on track, and see you next weeeeek 👋! Always yours, Andrew "Building Stuff" Zacker |
